What is the Tribal Card? The Tribal Card is a reloadable, prepaid card issued by The Bancorp Bank. The card is loaded with your child support payments and provides a secure and cost-effective alternative to carrying cash and paying check cashing fees. It gives you the convenience of a Visa Prepaid Card, but it is not a credit card. Can I add other funds to my Tribal Card? Absolutely! You can have your payroll, other government benefits, or any other regular payments direct deposited to your Tribal Card. It is an alternative to a bank account. As soon as you receive your Tribal Card, complete the form on the back of this brochure and give it to your employer or benefits provider to have payments (other than child support) direct deposited to your card. Can I get a card for a family member or friend? Yes. You can add up to five companion cards to your Tribal Card account and give them to family members or friends. Where can I use my Tribal Card? You may use your card at merchant locations wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. Your card can be used in stores online and by phone. How do I get cash with my Tribal Card? You may withdraw cash at ATMs worldwide wherever the Visa brand is displayed. You may also obtain cash back from a merchant when making a purchase. Can I use my Tribal Card to pay my bills? Yes. While there are fees associated with the card, they can be minimized or eliminated altogether by using the website (www.smiONEcard.com) to obtain balance information and getting cash at the time of purchase. The money in your Tribal Card account is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), an independent agency of the United States Government, up to $250,000.00.
