Transportation Alliance for New Solutions (TrANS)TrANS is a new, innovative program that encourages women and minorities to seek employment in the transportation industry. In the 120-160 hour TrANS industry awareness class, trainees are exposed to: Construction terminology, Tool identification and usage, Physical conditioning, Job site safety, Evaluation by industry professionals , Work site experience and skills, Construction math, Blueprint reading, Map reading, and Commercial drivers license instruction. This is a FREE class and individuals who successfully complete the TrANS industry awareness class will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Basic Life SupportProvided by Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College Continuing Education Department.
CPR: Adult, Child, Infant, Choking emergencies, Automated External Defibrillator First Aid: Location and/or Participant Emphasis, Emergency care until the ambulance arrives Fee: $40 per person, includes an electronic downloadable certification card from the American Heart Association. |
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) TrainingWisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Hayward Outreach Center is providing the opportunity for eligible local high school students and community members to receive training to become certified nursing assistants.
The CNA classes will be held at WITC-Hayward Outreach Center and the clinical learning sessions will be held at Water’s Edge Care Center. The class begins Monday, April 3. Class will not be held on April 4, 5, or 14 to accommodate school events. |
